The Printing Process

July 1, 2021

You’ve placed an order, now what? Well for you, you just sit back and wait for your painting to arrive. Let’s dive into the printing process on my end.

If you’ve ordered a commissioned painting, be on the lookout for an email with a sketch of your song in the next couple of days. I will get started on the final product once I get approval on the sketch, and then email you a proof (picture to be approved) of the final product. If there are no minor changes to be made at that point, I will digitally sign the painting and send it off to be printed and shipped! Non-commissioned paintings will be digitally signed and sent to the printers shortly after an order is placed.

My carefully selected printer does an incredible job of making the songs come to life on the canvas. All paintings are printed on semi-gloss sheen canvases using eco-solvent ink with a rich color gamut. Eco-solvent ink uses 8 different ink channels that provide a vibrant color range and look amazing on the canvas because the ink actually goes deep into the archival grade, poly-cotton blend canvas particles. This gives the pigment a sharp, solid, and bold look.

The incredible printing team monitors and calibrates the color of the printers regularly to make sure only the highest quality paintings are produced. Colors are true to the final picture I send you, granting slight variations with monitors. The inksets are archival and will last over 100 years without fading or yellowing when displayed in the proper conditions.

The printing process is extremely efficient and you can expect your painting to ship to you within 3-5 days of placing a non-commissioned order. Additional time is required for custom synesthesia paintings as I will study and paint a new song for you.

Each painting is given special care throughout the entire printing process so that you will be completely satisfied when your painting arrives! Please reach out to me if you have any further questions regarding the printing process.
